Trad Stars to perform at Cork Opera House – 19 Feb 2017

Altan, Andy Irvine, Donal Lunny, Paul Brady and Castle Céilí Band among headline acts at Gradam Ceoil TG4

A concert featuring an all-star line-up of traditional musicians will take place at Cork Opera House on Sunday, February 19, to honour their outstanding achievements.

The performers are the recipients of the TG4 Gradam Ceoil 2017 (All-Ireland Traditional Music Awards) and include big names like Mairéad Ní Mhaonaigh, fiddler, singer, and founding member of Altan and Donal Lunny.

They will joined on stage by their own special musical guests in a unique, star-studded line-up of musicians and award-presenters, including Altan, Paul Brady, Andy Irvine, The Castle Céilí Band, The Atlantic Arc Orchestra, Na Mooneys, The Macalla Orchestra and many more.

The prestigious event, which celebrates its 20th anniversary this year, is the ‘oscars’ of Irish music, and will be broadcast live on TG4.

It is one of the best line-ups the concert has seen in years and tickets are selling quickly.,.
